OWNER STORY

My name is Jonathen Shafer and I’m proud to have come from a military family. My father the Marine, my wife is a Naval Officer, and I’m a Navy veteran. During my time in the military I learned to keep my cool during stressful situations and what it means to be an effective leader. These skills come in handy especially in a house with two kids, two dogs, and two cats.

I’ve always loved helping others but I found my passion for junk removal while assisting my parents in their post hurricane clean up. This essential service is especially helpful post natural disasters. I was hooked and after doing some research I came across Joseph and Vets Haul Junk Removal.
After meeting with Joseph I was confident I could help others, provide for my family, and grow my own business. Since then and with the help of Joseph we have established Vets Haul Junk in my town of Hamptons Roads Virginia.
